Museum Curator
Hari Jones is the Assistant Director and Curator of the African American Civil War Memorial Freedom Foundation and Museum. One of the foremost authorities on the role of African Americans in the Civil War, Hari presents a refreshingly new perspective on the subject. In his matter- of-fact manner, he reveals just how extensive and well-organized America’s African descent community was in its efforts to end slavery in league with the Constitution. A Native of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Hari served in the United States Marine Corps for over twenty years retiring as a captain in 1997.
