Memorial Museum Book Club

A series of best-of-class books selected especially for us to read together each month to gain a better appreciation and understanding of the Civil War in which the role of the colored soldier is viewed as integral. The books are updated here each month together with reviews, expert-commentary and the option to buy the books in support of the Museum each month. In addition the formation of local book club chapters are encouraged. In addition to books on the Civil War, the Museum also has selections from the following categories: Civil Rights, Children's Books and Teachers' selections.
