Hours of Operation:

Tuesday – Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm
Saturday 10:00am to 4:00pm
Sunday 12pm to 4:00pm
The museum is located at 1925 Vermont Ave, NW Washington DC, directly across the street from the African American Civil War Memorial, located at 1th and U Streets, NW Washington DC. The use of public transportation, including taxis, is recommended. The nearest metro stop to the museum is the green/yellow line, Ust/African American Civil War Memorial Cardozo stop. Exit the metro station at 10th and Ust NW. For bus route information please visit Washington Metro Transit website.
The museum has a limited number of parking spaces available to the public located off of 9 1/2 street.
Buses may drop off passengers in front of the monument or museum along Vermont Avenue, However, the driver should stay with the bus.
Admission to the museum is free for individuals and groups.
