Register as a Descendant

Registering with the African American Civil War Memorial Museum is a great way to honor your ancestor who served with the United States Colored Troops. Their heroism helped end slavery and kept America united under one flag.

You can also locate USCT soldiers and sailors who served in the Civil War using The National Park Service Soldiers and Sailors Database. Those who served are memorialized on the AACWM monument.

If your ancestor was a member of the distinguished individuals who helped change the course of American history, we invite you to register with us so that we can to add you to our list of over 400 USCT Descendants. By registering we can keep you informed of upcoming news and events about the AACWMM and connect you with others who share in your American history. You can also obtain a certificate for your soldier.
