The volunteer program offers a wide range of opportunities. Volunteers can assist with different areas such as education, interpretation, fundraising, administrative support, and special events. *The Museum will be recruiting volunteers in the fall of 2024.
If you want to apply for an internship in interpretation and research, education, marketing and development, web/media, or a field not listed, please send a cover letter, resume, two letters of reference, and an outline of your proposed internship objectives to dawnchitty(at)afroamcivilwar.org.
Applicants should be resourceful and willing to take on new challenges, comfortable interacting with people in various situations, demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, and have a keen attention to detail.
