Civil War to Civil Rights 2026: Alabama

October 8, 2026, 12:00 am - October 12, 2026, 12:00 am

This immersive Civil War to Civil Rights journey explores one of the most transformative themes in American history. Tracing the path from Civil War battlefields to the front lines of the Civil Rights Movement, this tour invites participants to experience the people, places, and landscapes where freedom was demanded, resisted, and ultimately advanced.

Traveling from Atlanta, Georgia, through Montgomery, Selma, Mobile, and Fort Blakely, Alabama, guests will walk in the footsteps of the United States Colored Troops and the activists who compelled the nation to confront injustice. From the battlegrounds where Black soldiers fought for emancipation to the bridges, churches, and city streets where ordinary citizens demanded voting rights, this journey brings you face-to-face with the moments that reshaped America.

Across Alabama’s most pivotal landscapes—where bravery met resistance and sacrifice sparked transformation—you will explore a powerful legacy that continues to shape our nation today.
