Celebration of Veterans Day at the African American Civil War Memorial Museum

Captain Milton Troy III, Chief of Staff, Naval Sea Systems Command, Guest Speaker

The African American Civil War Memorial Freedom Foundation is pleased to present Captain Milton Troy, III as its annual Veterans Day program main speaker.

Captain Troy received his commission through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Program at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. Captain Troy‘s operational assignments include the USS Normandy (CG-60) in Norfolk Virginia where he served. His personal awards include the Legion of Merit (two awards) the Meritorious Service Medal (6 awards) and the Joint Commission Medal, to name a few.

The Nation’s Capital, Jack and Jill Club of American will lead the audience in a special “Reading of Names.” The reading will be followed by the laying of the wreath and refreshments at Noon.
